Kaairos — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

Kaairos is a browser-based video-editing studio. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use it. The short version: your media stays in your own browser unless you send it somewhere, your sign-ins stay on your device, and we do not run a database or store your content or personal data on our servers.

1. Your media stays local

The videos, audio and images you import or create are processed entirely inside your browser — including by the AI models, which download to your device once and run there. They are not uploaded to us. A video leaves your browser only when you send it: publishing it to a platform you have connected, making a Google Drive link to it, or backing up your Library to your own Google Drive.

A Drive link uploads the clip to your Google Drive and makes it viewable by anyone who has the link; the file stays there, and stays public, until you delete it from your Drive. A backup is one file in your own Google Drive holding your Library and your settings, and it never includes a sign-in.

2. Connecting third-party accounts

To publish to TikTok, LinkedIn or YouTube, or to use Google Drive, you sign in through that platform's official OAuth flow. TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube access tokens are stored in your browser's local storage on your device (YouTube's only until Google's token expires, about an hour); Google Drive's is held in memory and forgotten when you close the page. They are used only to do what you asked — publish the video you selected, make its link, or write and read your backup — and they are never included in a backup. You can disconnect each platform at any time from the Share panel, or by clearing the app's site data.

3. How each destination is reached

YouTube and Google Drive are reached directly from your browser. TikTok and LinkedIn need a few steps a browser cannot do alone, so those pass through a small set of serverless functions of ours (the "broker"): the sign-in itself, TikTok's post details (the video's bytes go straight to TikTok), and LinkedIn's upload, video included. The broker is stateless — it holds no database, keeps no user accounts, and does not log or retain your videos, tokens or personal information. It processes each request in transit and discards it.

4. Data shared with third parties

When you publish, the video and the caption/description you entered are sent to the destination platform (e.g. TikTok) via its official API; a Drive link or a backup is sent to your Google Drive. How each of them stores and uses that data is governed by its own privacy policy. A few features also send what they need, and nothing more, to the service that answers them: a stock search sends your search words to Openverse or Wikimedia Commons, a live stream's address (and the token you entered for it) goes to the host that serves the stream, and the AI models are downloaded from Hugging Face, with the software that runs them from jsDelivr. We do not share your data with any other parties.

5. Analytics and cookies

Kaairos and its broker set no advertising or tracking cookies and run no third-party analytics on your content. Your browser's storage holds your Library's media, the project you are working on, your preferences and the access tokens described above — on your device, and nowhere else.

6. Your control

Because your data lives in your browser, you can remove it at any time by clearing the site's data, by deleting any link or backup you made from your Google Drive, and by revoking Kaairos's access from within your TikTok, LinkedIn or Google account settings.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above will reflect any change.
